Henry Matisse inspired Thank You card

Henry's uncle Scott and Auntie Lydia gifted him star wars cookie cutters. I thought using old Christmas cards cut up and taped to an ordinary card would be a creative way to say thanks!



First i had Henry use scissors to cut up an old card stock Xmas card. He is still in the process of learning how to use scissors so this was great practice. We used Japanese washi tape to paste the pieces to the card.

Next I will have him paint over the cut up pieces as Henry Matisse would have done. While he cut off pieces I had him watch a Youtube clip of Henry Matisse the artist.
