I have a few sensory boxes that i use for Henry. i had some super old lentils laying around and thought it would be a great sensory tool for Henry. I described to him the texture and use of lentils. He loved rubbing his hands in the box for a while. we then added his favorite friends and he played with it for a good 20 minutes!

I also give him a spoon to transfer from one place to another. This adds an extra motor skill to the activity.

back to fun.

I now let baby Hans feel the lentils with his hands. I, of course, am monitoring every second because of the size of the lentils. I keep the sensory box stored in his room for more uses.
